Guide for Authors
The articles, opinions and book reviews should be written preferably in English. Authors with English as a second language may choose to have their manuscripts professionally edited before submission to improve the English, as papers with poor expression will not be accepted. The submitted manuscripts or substantial parts of
them should not have been previously published or submitted for publication somewhere else. Once a paper is published, it cannot be withdrawn by the author.

SAWAS papers are anonymously reviewed by two reviewers (double blind reviewing). Based on these reviews the editors decide to refuse or (conditionally) accept papers. Suggestions for revision will be given in an editors’ note accompanying the reviews. Authors will submit a ‘revision note’ explaining how comments have been addressed with the revised paper.

Authors need to use the MS Word Template  for submitting their paper. Papers in other formats will be returned. The style guide/guidelines (Guidelines for Authors) can be downloaded here . Authors have to follow the style guide strictly in order to reduce copy-editing time and effort. There is no fixed length for articles but the number of words should preferably be kept between 5,000 and 10,000 (including references and notes). The first page of the submission includes the title of the paper, detailed contact data and affiliation of authors and acknowledgements. This information is not communicated to the reviewers.
